
This project aimed at installing a 100 kVA distribution transformer and all associated civil and electrical works at the premises of Mr. Ngwa Terrence in Bokwai, Buea, to improve local power reliability and capacity. The installation aims to reduce voltage fluctuations and outages affecting the residence. Key components include site preparation and civil works (Installation of concrete poles and construction of maneuver platform), procurement and installation of the 100 kVA transformer and MV/LV switchgear, MV and LV terminations and distribution tie-ins, earthing and lightning protection, protection and metering devices, and testing and commissioning to utility standards. Estimated timeline: 8–12 weeks (subject to procurement and permitting). Key deliverables: installed and commissioned 100 kVA transformer, test and commissioning reports, network plans, and drawings. Expected benefits: improved voltage stability and supply reliability, reduced technical losses on the local line, enhanced service to households, and additional capacity to support near-term economic activity in Bokwai.
